What about temperature? How do you cool that thing down?

Easy, you just don't take it out of the refrigerator :)

Congrats! If it's stable, give the benchwell scene a shot . I'd be curious if you could endanger some of those dual-quad xeons :)

Post the temps ;)

Use the app "Core Temp" for the readings.

it´s very easy to keep any system cool:
you need negative pressure inside the cassis.
negative pressure only keeps the whole system cool, adding as most fans as possible (blowing AND sucking ones) is the worng way.
you will end up with some gentle cooling, caused by air twirls but thats not the way it works :-)

a standard cpu cooling device, one chassis fan and the psu-fan is all you need.
just seal the case to get as most negative pressure as possible inside.
(just a small passive air supply in the front of the case)
thats the trick :-)

best,
andre

just a small opening without an fan where the air comes in ;-)

I highly recommend Swiftech heat sinks. My dual quad core never gets above 35.5 C.
