That was for you Mihai (semi-inside thing ??, .)... lol

Hello all ....

Maybe you know about some of these and maybe you don't .... we'll see.

This one, .. I've never used and actually just discovered -- All scans (quality ?) Full body scans, ..some body parts and I also see a rubber duck and Buddha.
Staples in any CG inventory AFAIK. ;) ...plus some others items.
http://www.inspeck.com/support/download/download.asp

For you Rhino folks: this is Helmut Schaub, you've probably never heard of him -- I have no idea why -- I didn't, ... but he's killer (I have them all ! lol..). Take a look at the 'freebies' section, ... you'll be blown away. http://www.3dxtra.net/

All I can say is, ... explore this link thoroughly, ..... amazing things. Its a little convoluted in there, ..but worth the investigation ... truly.

Self-Explanatory (visually): http://www.baument.com/archives.html

Overall great inventory ( A - Z style) : http://www.accustudio.com/
Goto the exchange and look around, .. the vehicles are really quite good and more than good enough to populate an arch.vis. scene. , ..not to mention the myriad of other things .....

And the (best?) for last ... nothing but the hardcore scans we all know (or don't) and love.
http://shapes.aim-at-shape.net/index.php [browse model link on left side / orange box] ;)

That's enough for now .... do try and oblige by any user agreements given.

Later,
ivox

Yeah i like the last one but how do you use ply files? Maybe i'd have to use Polytrans to convert.

Oh i see some of them have OBJ's... but does anyone have an idea on how to convert ply to obj (in a non Polytrans way)?

Blender handles ply files

Both obj & lwo output go into Studio nicely.

MeshLab [free] will open a PLY file, and also save it back out as an obj. :)
