OT-Ugliest Beach Condo Building?

I recently went home to Indialantic, FL and saw this unbelievable ugly condo building. Actually, there were four of them in a row.
It has to be one of the most ill conceived exteriors I've ever seen. This picture doesn't do it justice. If you can stand it, look closely and the incredible assembly of mismatched motifs. The dark vertical motifs are columns. Lots of columns from short to very tall. And in pairs sometimes. Egad!!!
Maybe this is proof otherworldly aliens have not only taken up residence, but are becoming licensed architects.
If you have pictures of an uglier beach condo, please feel free to post it. I don't mean run down, or in poor repair. But one like this, that in its pristine state is a statement to poor taste and bad government.

I agree with you, some of these buildings are pretty awfull. But you always have to think that beautiful architecture takes place in between ugly architecture. Therefore, if the ugly ones are gone then the beautiful would not stand out. Perfect examples; Guggenheim, Moneo's Kubes, seatle library...
That is a beautifu picture of the sunset BTW

But did you have to build FOUR of them????
I think they should be called "Ghastly Dunes" or some such thing.

LOL!!!! with all jokes aside.... let me tell you a story,
Back in 2004 while I was in college, we went to check a site to design one of our architectural school project (Rome, Italy).
Well, when we arrive to the site there was a modern looking building outside of the city walls and our site was in between the walls (typical school project

). The idea was to create something that would integrate to the old and modern world.... something along those the lines
Anyway, one of the students started talking sh*t about the modern building, with in my opinion didn't look that bad. Well, she was saying things like; how could someone design such a pos and all of the sudden our teacher turned around and said; "well I was young, it was one of my first building... however t I don't think it is that bad! "
That student was know for speaking too much, I guess that was her time to pay for the consequences.

Every time I go to Florida I see some architecture that I think is simply terrible, while the person next to me thinks it is the greatest thing ever.
I guess there is no accounting for taste, but damn, pink stucco needs to be banned!

I don't know about that. As long as its coordinated with the plastic flamingos in the front yard, or your poodle's hair color, or maybe your Cadillac in the drive way, it *could* be acceptable.
When I was growing up, we thought of "The Golden Arches" of the local McDonald's as architecture.
Yeah, it was that bad.......
Having gotten used to DC and NY, its painful to see what abomonations have been pooped out on the beautiful landscape.

I kind of like it... in a surreal sort of way... I can imagine being stoned and walking around the inside... kind of like a "Hotel California" vibe...
