Well if Maxwell 1.2 is not going have md too people might get dizzy
A renderer without micropoly displacement is like a man with no teeth. Really

Nice!

First time I've been impressed by Fryrender.

that carpet is just perfect. With this, their license policy and better and better looking renders fry is starting to look like a serious competitor.

Seriously, we need it, maybe one of the surprises we'll have with the new release?

Interesting, we need it.
In my last image, I just made all of the block with spline and sand with scatter.

Try to do that in SketchUP... or Maxwell Studio for all those who don't have a plug-in application. Seriously, MPD is long waited for and was promised from the beginning. it's about time we have it in maxwell.
Maxwell still has a better material editor IMHO

Would be so quicker, for a fast presentation at the beginning of a project, to paint "facades" Masks, Displacement, and Materials in Photoshop

This is the first time I look at fry-render with envy!
So long for the theory that they copy from us

Why post about this here ? it makes no sense at all.
Anyways.. i highly doubt we will see any form of displacement, not in 1.2, perhaps in 2.0 which is 6+ years in the future. If any form of displacement would been implemented in 1.2 i believe we woulda seen it in the videos released not long ago, i could not see any traces of it in those videos..

I'm just curious who told you 2.0 is 6+ years away...

Is Madrid some sort of mecca for programmers working on the unbiased agoritims? Or are Next Limit and Feversoft more connected? Just curious. Fryrender and Maxwell are very much running the same race...and happen to be from the same town.
Thanks for the heads up..I may pre-order it on the same whim as I did Maxwell. It is cheap enough now...why not.
