DGS Materials and Arroway Textures

Does anybody have good experience with Mental Ray DGS Materials. The project I have up in the WIP section about the TAMU Campus needs to be rendered in Mental Ray for the animation (my boss decided to go with Mental Ray today so I get to throw myself into it over the next 4 days). The DGS Shader seems promising, and since we have so many great examples already with the Arroway MXMs, I was wondering if there was an easy rule to follow when using that as a model for the DGS. Any clue?
