boxx apexx8; 16 cores; 4 GB; win 2003 server 32 bit.

i just got to know that a boxx apexx8 machine has these cinebench R9.5 values:

1 cpu: 409
x-cpu: 2662

* * *

when we remember that a dual quad xeon 2.66 GHz (8 cores) did 2109 !

* * *

a guy at an other forum who works @ boxx gave me these numbers... interesting... but i think i would no want to PAY such a machine... !!

what only the 8 opterons cost !!!!!

by the way... my quad which is @ top of the maxwell render speed test v.1.1 at the moment jumps between 1750 and 1810 points with my current overclock settings !
(i don't know why it gives different values... i don't change the oc settings !!)

I believe that it's the CPU power throttle feature that slows down its speed
when the temperature gets too high.
Just to save your precious computer from a hazardous overheat =)

Have a double check on the airflow, for anything blocking its path.

it's watercooled... :)

running at 70 to 73 deg C at max when fulltime 100 % rendering, so the temp's not the problem, but this is an applicable answer, maybe something very similar ...
