I can't even install a simple harddrive anymore?! sata??

I bough a new harddrive from newegg and it came wrap on "plastic bubble papers" with no box, no extra cables, no instructions! is that normal??
Anyway, The connection on the back of the drive looks pretty different from anything that I have seen before! somebody told me is a sata connection?
can I get some type of converter to use it or should I sent it back?

Yep, you need a board that supports sata, I haven't heard of a converter beeing available, better send it back for a compatible one
edit, wait, search for sata to usb converter

I believe you should be able to find an SATA PCI interface card - They don't cost too much nowadays.....

Looks like you purchased an OEM version, which means it comes with just the drive. It also looks like you're needing an IDE type and not SATA. You might also want to be sure that your motherboard can support the size of hard drive you're wanting.

True, I had this once, but luckily there was a tool to update my Bios, after that it was fine
but it's not recomendable to play with your Bios:?

Not if you can't deal with an OEM hard drive.
