Dunno if your referring to xp 64 Pro or vista. If referring to the former, here are some possible solutions:
Tiny firewall used to have a decent 64 bit version:

But they were acquired by these wankers and it seems they have released with a new name but not 64 bits:

Check this site out if you run 'firewall' under search you'll dig some good info up:
http://www.start64.com/index.php?search ... h&Itemid=5
Otherwise, AVG has a combined firewall+antivirus xp 64 firewall / antivirus: (sorry for the ITA link)

Outpost pro runs on xp 64:

Avast! does not have a full feature firewall but has a module that acts a bit as a firewall (at least is enough for me)
Network Shield
A new resident protection module was added to avast! 4.5: the Network Shield. This module provides protection against known Internet worms/attacks. It analyses all network traffic and scans it for malicious contents. It can be viewed as a lightweight firewall (or more precisely, an IDS (Intrusion Detection System)).
The Network Shield is only available on NT-based systems (Windows NT/2000/XP/2003).

this is from the FAQ:
Can PeerGuardian replace my firewall?
No! PeerGuardian has been heavily optimized for what it needs to do and is _not_ a replacement for your firewall.

Thank you. I will test Avast! and if I find a free firewall, I will be back.

It seems to be not so easy to find a free firewall for XP64. So, my next step could be to buy a security solution. Now, it could be great to buy a product one time only and not every year again like
AVG.
I have seen the CA Internet Security Suite. Do anybody use it?

my experience with ghostwall it that it blocked everything and it's mother. installing apps became a bitch. uninstalled it, reinstalled my nvidia firewall, living with the lousy 1 min delay at boot up till I can run my apps.

Hmm, I install it and let it run. For example: if I start the internet explorer or Rhino or ... no window popup and ask me: "did you like that this application go to the internet?". Or should I setup anything?
