Blur Studios has the awesome cinematics on their site. I'm particularly blown away by 'Hellgate London','Warhammer','Marvel Ultimate Alliance' and Sonic the hedghog.' They all rock though.

Wish I was 1/4 the talent these guys are. Wouldn't know the first thing about character animation...

I wonder what they use over there? Some of their artist have contributed to gnomon workshop training DVD's. Seems like they're a mix of max and maya.

In any event, simply stunning work on their part.

These guys are great... I've followed their work for years. I believe they still use Brazil as their render engine.

wow, never would have thought brazil capable of that but in truth I don't really know much about brazil.

it's really inspiring stuff though. I guess it doesn't really matter what's being used. it all comes down to the imagination and skill/talent of the user.

I'd love to get into animations but don't have the resources...

since I'm self taught, I don't even have the benefit of using the facilities of a university farm...

still would be awesome to learn. guess I'm hitting the book store soon  Look out for my animations 45 years from now LOL

I think Blur mainly use 3dsmax but they have recently started using XSI.
All the face robot stuff was written basically for them.
One of the guys that wrote Brazil use to work for Blur or still does.
Scott blackman ? something like that.
but yeah they do some nice work.

cheers

I think Splutterfish was Blur's research/tech department that was spun-off to focus on Brazil…but I could be wrong :?
