I agree Joseph Cornell's boxes are truly amazing. I first saw some of them about 20+ years ago. From a distance they look like just a bunch of stuff in a shadow box. But once you get within a certain distance their gravity draws you into a magical world.
What was so striking to me was how each one was so wonderful and so different.
He was a genius.

I haven't seen these examples in real life but I find it hard to see this as genius works.
