rendering such things with maxwell should be no problem... only the negative values should be supported...

i guess it would be hidden at n = 0. since there's no reflection, the material would look completely black and heat up enormously...
at negative n values, it would just bend light strangely and reflect stuff the way we did never.
but hiding stuff... i doubt.
