we just installed for the first time XP 64 on a cool workstation.
To be albe to use a very advanced periferial (a common qwerty keyboard) we need to unistall the keybord drivers at log-out and reinstall them at log in.
If you miss to unistall the keyboard at log out you have the great opportunity to log in in "safe mode" and unistall it.
At the next log-in the great "plug and pray" capabilities of windows XP are proud to announce you that they just recognized a new qwerty keyboard.
The installation af a bit less advanced operating system called FreeBSD
(it supports just 2048 parallel processors) found the same keyboard only one single time.

It's the well-known "QWERKY" bug. The program thinks the keyboard is quirky, not qwerty. :D

Wow, never heard of this. I'm assuming it's a bug relating to usb keyboards? Thankfully I only have old cherries here and they're working fine. :)

There's got to be a better driver, and or the removal of one to fix this problem.

Out of curiosity, which keyboard are you using?

hi Stephen, it's a common ps2 qwerty keyboard.
normally this keyboard, we have about 20 of them, works fine with the normal windows drivers and it dosn't has any own drivers.
But don't worry, we already removed XP, it was only a wery short meeting... :) the first and last one.
The most incredible thing is that a 3D boolean operation we do often as a test to evaluate single cores speed failed with Windows XP 64. On the same workstation, under windows 2000 the test runs sucesfully.
