Looks very convincing, how's this done? Masking a non moving part of the image? I never work with video editing apps.

i am not sure if this is fake. or at least not all of it.
if you look in the credits they show some bad attempts.
doing this all as an animation (shadow and all this stuff included), might actually be more work than some trial and error throws like these boys did (in my opinion)

but cool stuff anyway

I agree, but everyone to which i showed the first version seemed sure right away that it was fake. If nobody had said it i would've considered them all real, especially the ones with plastic-bag trash cans.

Just tell me one good reason why this movie would be fake?
Lots and lots of retakes and this movie looks totaly real to me.

looks real... but it has to be fake.... I mean, come on!!! those guys should be playing for the NBA

because in some cases, just wen the can enters the trash, there is some strange reflection on it. like the light is not right for the place....otherwise it would need lots of retake for sure!

Ask the druids how they did it.

nothing but eternal patience for most of the shots.
some others have a little kink in the ballistic just before entering the can.. could be a combo of long-distance-throw and short-distance-put?
