WoW

nice.. a bit pricey ..BUT it would save TONS of time- Totally worth it for the car/bike rigs.. and camera rigs..

I think for the price it will pay itself off when the time is saved in douing labor on keyframe editing...

cool control using joysticks/gamepads/steeringwheels..

They sell a couple of plugins which seems to me could easily be achieved with common tools. The Humanizer cam for example, couldn't you add some very subtle noise to the movement of a camera? The Horror Cam could be done with some simple scripting.

Or can you use a mouse/joystick with these plugins also?

you can use gaming joysticks, steering wheels, mouse, keyboard with these plugins...that is what makes them worth the money I think.

Sorry I really don't understand why they bothered. All the camera moves in the demo movie were either poorly animated or very easy to create using maya's standard tools.

Save your money guys and learn how to use your tools.

this is true..
I just like the Car / motocycle rigs for use with a game pad.. really makes animating background traffic alot of fun..

but yes.. some of the things are pretty simple.. like th steady move cam is just a basicl camera on springs rig you can do a tutorial of that setuip on learningmaya .com... but the input devices nodes are a nice addition (which i remeber seeing a script like that on highend3d once ago)
