after seeing the review in the current 3dworld magazine about quidam http://www.n-sided.com/ i realized that this new solution sneaked in... and it it has the potential to be the next big thing in the character asset area when it will mature a bit, if you ask me.

on their web site there is a free demo (win/ OSX) which is very fun to use!

This reminds me of Evolver which came out a few months ago.

I don't do any character work, so I can't really comment on the specifics, but I played around with the demo of Evolver from Darwin Dimensions and it was amazing. I created photo real people and cartoons in minutes with no previous experience... but you had to pay to save and it wasn't worth it to me because I would never use the model.

A bit pricy but amazing quality.
