Hi folks, ..

This is just a simple reminder to be wary of any emails coming from Next Limit with attachments.

I just received an email from 'Tom[@]nextlimit.com with a zip file and password. Looked pretty official, but wasn't, ... the anti-virus filtered it out nicely, ..but only because it had the latest definitions.

Just be careful ...and have a nice day. :)

errr, but one question: are we to believe that someone is sending out spoofed emails with virus attachments in the name of next limit?

I guess you could call it that, ... or a data mining program authored by an unscrupulous hack without a job.

Hi all,

I have gotten some email too, but the antivirus catches it every time and deletes it.

It is the Bagle.GN@mm worm mining the address books... or possibly the server of this forum has been scanned.

I've gotten angry emails from strangers accusing me of spamming them. Okay, that happened once.

Once someone has you in their address book, it's impossible to keep worms from invading them and then using your domain name or email address as a vehicle.

ETA I just googled that IP address and it's known already as a phishing scam point of origin.

What's going on, anyways, i've been getting massive amounts of spam recently...I mean, its always a pleasure getting an occasional message from someone called Yvonne who wants to enlarge my penis, but really its getting out of control...

Yes, I've noticed an increase lately. As well as the 'Yvonnes', I've been getting endless "Mega tip - Wanko Widgets Inc. - Buy now, this stock is about to explode!!!" ones...
