Glebe,
Did you read the story about the guys that were exporting clear Scotch and were forced to stop? This article said all Scotch is dyed, and the distillers association (or some such body) forced them to cease making it without the dye.
I stick to vodka/soda on the rocks for medicinal purposes.

I like gin in it's many forums.
My all time favorite:
2 parts Bombay Gin
2 parts ginger ale
1 part pineapple juice
I stopped drinking about 4 years ago but I can taste that drink in my 'taste memory'

oh yes, that Jamón is the best !
i tried it in Sevilla and Barcelona... great dried ham, screwed to a holder and slowly cut in a lot of time... over weeks ! and it gets better the longer You wait... to add the nice wine...

If you like ginger ale, or even if you dont try this. It helps if you like hot sauces. Once you taste Blenheim's, everything else taste like cheap candy.
