You would still have to take several photos at different fstops I think. Any digital camera that saves images as RAW files are high dynamic range.

Har har.

Good raws cover 8-9 f-stops. That's still less than the
human eye and today considered as LDR.

HDR cams like the Spheron HDR up to 28.

That's quite a different ballpark...

Yes, that's what I ment :) Any RAW image could be considered "high dynamic range", but for using it for rendering you need to cover a wider fstop range.
