yep i've seen an article here
http://tweakers.net/nieuws/43490/Kentsf ... -4GHz.html
claiming that we should expect an 2239 Cinebench score
for info
a Dual Opteron 285 mobo scores 1616
my current sytem is a dual dualcore opteron 270 that scores around 940 cinebench that as represented a boost of 5.6 in most case compare to my old P4 2.4 that was around 245, that to say it doesnt scale comparatly, so i do expect a big slam for next years renders ( maybe a render that took 30 hours with maxwell currently would only take 8-10 hours )

i've got no preference at all, ibm or amd, as long as it gets the job done for a good ratio price/speed

not really related to kentsfield, and not that we really need any other core 2 review, but I just happened to stumble over this one. just for the sake of it:

I take it those are the prices for dealers, two Clovertowns for 1300$ sounds unrealistic. If not then we have reason to cheer.
The new dual-core Xeon MP 7150N will be clocked at 3.5 GHz with a 667 MHz front-side bus. This particular model will have 2MB of L2 cache and 16MB of L3 cache.
yummy
