Kentsfield Preview

Hi,

Tomshardware has previewed Intels first Quadcore CPU "Kentsfield"

Damn... not quite sure if I would want to live with that power consumption though.. seems a bit much even though it's freakishly powerful.
For an office, maybe, but not for my private computer I think.

I think this reassured me that i should get an E6600 and not an E6300 to wait for Kentsfield. With three times the pricetag, expectably high heat emission and clearly not twice the performance, i'm not taking it into consideration any longer. Impressive unit none the less :)

Check out my benchmark result with my e6400 - cheaper than a 6600 (although maybe only 100$) but seems easier to overclock with less heat. I'm pretty impressed with the speed.
