That is awesome. I have been trying it out for about 30 minutes, and it plays some great stuff I have never heard based off of what I already like. Im always looking for new music.

That's what I found as well - I made a station based on the band MIA and instantly became aware of tons of bands I never would have heard of before.

I really like this, what a wonderful experience. I predict this will bring on a new concept of its own, 'just another pandora music set"...

What I think is so successful, is that matching the music along the lines of tonal range and similar analysis of the type of music, you basically are listening to "what you want to hear" and nothing you would not want to hear based on your choices, so I think this is like some kind of work that focuses on the psychology of the mind.

Pandora- the new music for your mind- of course you'll like it, there no reason for you not too!

Alas, none of these work for me. I'm more interested in the ideas that drive the music than the sound of it. It means they constantly do stuff like suggest Apoptygma Berzerk because I like VNV Nation. Unfortunately, Apoptygma Berzerk makes my brain die because their lyrics suck so horribly badly.

Every music recommendation system I've ever seen has the same problem for me.

Hey Void, have you tried using the little 'thumb down' button when that sucky band plays? By giving feedback on individual songs it really helps to further fine tune your station. Whenever it starts drifting too far away, I just give it a few thumbs down. :)

If you give correct feedback according to music styles they always update so it fits more and more....and if you want to suggest a band or type of music you can also email them.

I have been a launchcast user for years ... but launchcast is no longer the same ever since they were bought by Yahoo. The Pandora.com captures the essence of the early launchcast; only even better. Pandora is very interesting ! ... gets my vote :)

"Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative."

Thanks, I already found an easier solution: I just entered an american proxy server in my web browser, and it works fine.

KurtS, How do I do that (IE6)? I´d love to get Pandora back.
