man, this is shit.

i tried about four hours to export my facade (four facade files) via .dwg and then import into maya via .obj.
i have two separate materials which should be directly accessable in maya (glass, alu) so i don't have to select/reassign each face.
i tried to import into form Z which can read the .dwg without errors but then it exports a non-usable .obj for maya which doesn't show the two selection-sets. even two separate models would be great.

can anybody help me ?

files would be here if anyone is out of mind to try...

can be opened also with CATIA, it's a product based on 60 to 90 parts...

i have no access to solidworks... sadly.

i want out of the .dwgs or out of DP directly the polyselections of the two materials. either one mesh in .obj which contains the two materials or two separate meshes...

i did this a few weeks ago with import into form Z and export to .obj and one more way over cinema 4d to get the proper two meshes... but this time, nothing worked !!! damned !

cos sometimes you're in hurry and don't really have any time to waste drawing?
