I posted up a score for the benchmark scene for a single woodcrest which was pretty good. We have three of those machines here and I've been thinking that one night when things are slow I'll combine two of them to see what happens.

thanks!

a bench of 50 for a single woodcrest seems quite good!
it is near the dual-dual G5.

i guess a dual woodcrest 3ghz would be the fastest machine at the moment.
i would guess it would have a bench of ca 85-90?

anyone a real duel bench?

cheers

Would be great to see that benchmark when the Core 2 Duo comes out. Or is it Core Duo 2.....

Something strange about that test Eldo, I saw another review where two 285 got 1428 on Cinebench. Seems unlikely that the 280's are that much slower.

"285 got 1428"

..are you sure???
maybe in 64bit cinema- there everything is about 20% faster in CB.

by the way i just bought a core duo, when i assambled it i will post maxwell bechmarks.

my opteron275 gives about 70 benchmark(in "THE" testscene) in maxwell and about 1079 in cinebench 32bit, and about 1250 in 64 bit CB.

i know the ca 1600 woodcrest CB mark but i would love to see if it is that good in Maxwell too?! or my orecise question is- does maxwell love opteron or woodcrest more...?

cheers

It does with Opterons so i would expect it to be no different with Woodcrests.

Check this article out.... http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/macpro.ars/1 ..... it's quite long, but it does get around to some general benchmark info.
