Wouldn't you rather get a normal keyboard? Save your money for Das Pizza and Das Sardines

One letter (the 'S' ?? ) in one of my keys has been smudged off and I am going crazy ... it thows me off ... helpless

I imagine this is memorized quickly within days, just look at your keyboard for a second, the amount of chars is small and already mostly familiar.
I'll go practice typing without looking at the keyboard so i know if such a keyboard is worth it, look ma i'm trying right now \o/
Are there any other "affordable" pro keyboard recommendations? I've seen a lot of special ones for coders, gamers and what have you. Also mine was a quick 9.95€ replacement and you can feel it, i even got complains from others.

or should you have a label maker(Brother P-touch is nice) ......it's not the high-end solution, ...but it's not bad.

Tom, ...so this keyboard without symbols ... What if your still learning the layout and your faced with some kind of destructive act where you definitely don't want to hit the wrong key ? .....like, ...hmmm is that the [del] or [home] key? ....maybe it's the [pgUp] key, ...dunno ?? Man, ...suddeny I can't remember !!! ... I think it's the [insert] key, ...no, ...oh hell, ..where's my old keyboard.
Actually I do dig it. .....

this here could double as the perfect "keyboard aesthete trainer" - beginners switch on those tiny screens, advanced just switch em back on for critical tasks.. optimus ..when its on the market some lucky day.

Well, yes there are numerous amazing keyboards with color, functionality, elasticity or laser projected etc. But whenever I try one of them, they never give me the comfort I need. Today still many of you prefer a mouse instead of using the embedded uncomfortable touchpad technology of your laptop. Some people even attach a keyboard to their laptops. I tried something like a loptop keyboard, flat, boring but it didn't work for me in terms of speed. Then I tried one of those flexible ones and you need to waste 0.5 sec for each key, very bad. Now, I still use one of those good old noisy big key ones. It's fast (sensitive), it's extremely durable, it doesn't have a fantastic layout and it's simply solid. What I don't really need is the letters written on it and I always wanted to have das keyboard. One day...

Yeah, but if you do not look at the keyboard anyway ... then what does it matter if it had letters or not ? ... you would never know.

Because the high level contrast created by the white letters on my black keys disturbs the look of my environment Simplicity! I like to simplify unnecessary details while just keeping the vital ones.

We hope it will be released in 2006.
It will cost less than a good mobile phone.
It will be real.
It will be OS-independent (at least it’s going to be able to work in some default state with any OS).
It will support any language or layout.
Moscow is the capital of Russia.
Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence.
It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.
Some day it will be split (and made “ergonomic”).
It will most likely use the OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow).
Our studio is located two blocks from the Kremlin.

Keys could be animated when needed.
It has a numeric keypad because we love it.

and you never know if there is direct line from your desktop to the KGB with such a versatile keyboard..Moscow is the capital of Russia.
