hi guys,
no one's telling where he's going on holidays (maybe it's quite late, but here in italy summer=august...)

i haven't decided yet, i was thinking about Iceland but that's too expensive. so i have to reconsider the whole thing and right now i'm searching for some affordable flight to Canada (atlantic coast, most probably Montreal and northern Quebec). uhm, no one from Canada?

and you guys?

:)

It's winter here... I'm going to Brazil's North-East region, where there is no such thing as winter... My wife gifted us a week here:

If I was a company, ....like, ...uhhh ...Next Limit, .....I'd make the Siggraph event an annual user convention 'holiday'.

I'd have irresistible perks attached for new and current users for attendance. Not a bad way to build some extraordinary customer relations, plus all the priceless PR, ...if they could actually make waves with it. I'm sure when the CG trade publications got wind of how unique their 'program' was with all the benefits, ....free press would abound.

Not a bad way to piggyback on an event and have people plan their holiday around it.

Just a thought as to some of the 'perks'...

Free classes for new user instruction by NL Staff/ developers...
Free classes for covering advanced operations, material construction etc.
I'd make sure some Ateam we're there too, ...they'd get an all expense/paid kind of deal and could directly assist those in need--

CD/DVD's w/bonus materials, ...video instruction.
New user license / discounts.
Last day Maxwell party..... hell, ...I don't know, ...I'm reaching.
stuff, ...lots of it.....

Just a thought, ......maybe it's dumb and not the point of a holiday, but I'd still be open to planning around something like that. The difficult part would be getting my 'other half' to comply. ...that might be a deal breaker.

Sometimes, ...just changing my sceneery is holiday enough for me though.

but, ....like I said, ....if it was my company.

lol, might be nice, but try presenting that at any ceo/shareholders meeting for a small company, and you'll get a *free* *discounted* kick in the arse. Been there... :)

.....but free is an illusion, ...on the other side of that is an expanded user base. But you already know that, .....it's a shame such a principle still remains a hard sell. .....I'll take my kick in the arse and go home now.

I was going to LA for the last two weeks in August, but this is now postponed till November so it can be three weeks.

Lots of car shows for the rest of August instead & playing gigs in my band.

Only took one day of holiday last year, so need to make up for it this year.
