amd opteron 875 (up to 8-way) vs. amd X2 4800+

can anyone say something about the speed difference of these processors based on raw speed ? (not price at this point...)

well, other question.

is there no alternative to opterons to get more than 2 cpus into one box AND is at least kind-of affordable?

the opteron will be a bit faster, but -as you know- much more expensive...

multi-CPU AMD = opteron
