Forgive me insomnia if it seems that I'm hijacking your thread (just didn't want to start another one on the quasi same subject)?
So what are the benefits of Vista? in general? for using maxwell?

lol, for the OS X rip-off desktop gadgets maybe?!?
I doubt there's any advantage for maxwell, at least at this point...

But there are several major disadvantages!

some of which you might like such as Vista uses up all your ram to run just bare nekkie, and it also uses up most of your storage space after a clean installation. And it's pretty damn buggy and instable, and also it's very bloated. But if you're ok with all that crap then go for it

The only reason i was thinking of doing it was for the 64bit option and get rid of the stupid 'software ran out of mem. message'
But i am thinking it twice...

when i was forced to format my hard drive last week i thought why not try vista. it ran ok and i was thinking i made a good choice until i couldnt get about 5 drivers sorted including the usb modem. so i was forced to switch back to good old xp. i will wait till the companies sort out the drivers and then do it.

I installed it next to XP but can't get my wireless nic to work. It's pretty, but much slower than XP so I'd prefer to get rid of it again... any ideas how? I need to get rid of the bootmanager see

Something for you guys who consider "upgrading" to Vista..

You would probably get much better software compability if you upgraded your computer with a trashcan instead of Windows Vista.
