I've been using LW so long that using icons drives me crazy........I put up with Photoshop/AE etc but only because I have too.
I like the RC5 layout very much [no clutter and I like the dark aspect] I hope NL spend available cash on rendering development rather than pimping up the GUI too much.

Cinema4D! Everything is within a couple clicks, and with the materials and objects browsers, after using Max it's like going from Windows 3.0 to MacOSX. Don't get me started on Render Region.

i did choose cinema4d- a very good workflow, and almost 100% customizable.

from pure graphics i prefer modo, it is my second choise-alos very nice.

by the wy i like the aperture-stduio merge!

cheers

xsi looks a bit old now, but still rocks (despite it does look like it can , you can customize it the way you want). Modo is really interesting, looks really clean and promising. Blender has made huge progress since last time i saw it.

C4D looks a little bit too candy style to me. Maya is confused, 3dsmax has a DOS style like. LW looks really old. Rhino looks like autocad, but has a really amazing GL preview style.
