i was given a digital camera as gift over the weekend, canon rebel T1i is what is says on the box. i guess that's what it is. i'm used to shooting with old medium format cameras so all the buttons and settings are WAAAY overwhelming right now. took me about an hour to figure out how to take a picture, several minutes to figure out how to turn it on

nonetheless, i'm pretty impressed with it's quality and eager to play with it some more... took a few shots around the garden this morning, attempting to adapt to it... stock lens is SUPER WIDE!

Beautiful subtle HDR Bubba.


Tried to photograph a very vidvidly colored autumn leaf against the sun. Hard to get into focus.
Opening it, i found myself looking at satellite imagery of Los Angeles. Maybe i should make a video and animate the colors to a Philip Glass track.
