Thanks Fernando and Will, I appreciate it.

Again, thanks for the the background shots. It must have been a distressful photo shoot in your heated, luxury hotel suite

These aren't great photos by any extent, but I figured since no ones breaking the silence, they'll have to do.

Now that's a police car, with all bells n' whistles - literally. We europeans got nothing on that.

Amazing new photos killian, the b&w bird image is perfect.

Some great great pictures you guys posted, wow! how can i even come close to that with my crappy camera.

I'm not quite sure if i posted this before, but i don't think i have. It's a full 360 degree panorama i shot and stitched in my home village of Luleå in north Sweden when i lived there some 2 years ago now (i miss that place and wanna move back there now!). :(

It's a big one, sorry..

This one i stitched with this great program.

@ Ludenhud/Kilian_ really nice shots there- you guys know how to use you`re gear!

say Ludenhud, on that last NYC picture with the police truck, what lens did you use? to me the spacial impression is quite human-eye like..

@Maximus3d_ thank you very much for that link!!

already tried it out; here is the return, a little puzzle:
Image

...hmm, I know somebody in this forum who knows exactly where that is

if you need more hints check the HighRes one:

Image

regarding Autostitch, I gave it 16 8Mp images.. so the Highres is still not the full resolution (didn`t dare to go above 10000 width on output); took a couple of minutes to merge. It does show artifacts however, but I didn`t go much into the settings, and there are a lot of them!
Still that software is ..cool
these images have not even all been aligned next to each other when I took them - just chuck all in - panorama comes out, hehe, for free
So actually I had these images for a while, but never sat down to stitch them nicely. I was to lazy to do it, either you do it by hand .. then it takes very long, but in the end you know what you did, and the result is pleasing, or you use some software which also takes some time, and is not too good in the result after all; But with this tool it just takes 5 seconds
and a little while.

reminds me of this:

http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/129

it is almost a year old , but still  everytime I watch it... the imageSynth stuff comes at the end of the clip.. but the whole thing is worth watching.

enjoy!

Thanks man, I bought the sigma 10-22mm my first day in NY and that's what I used for that very photo.

Here's another one from the so well known Times squares

Ludenhud what camera are you using? - I know nothing about cameras so it would be good to get an idea. I love the NYPD photo - with the perspective/angle on the walls.

I'm up with an Nikon D80, a mediocre DLSR. It's a good camera but not too pricey. Thanks a lot for the compliment :)

Here's my pocket cam :P

Sick. I love cameras i'm just too poor at the moment.

What gives you the sloping wall/perspective effect? What kind of lens - just a small focal length?
