Hey there, I was curious if anyone else has had any luck with getting RC2 working. I have had better luck but still cant get a render image or preview. At least it doesnt crash when the plugin opens Maxwell, now I just dont see the model in either the preview or render window, Does anyone think a new skp2mxs would fix this?

No chance yet. This plugin doesn't work. Were waiting for the update.

The other way is the obj exporter. See thread from hrothgar.
It works with RC2 too.

We've been at it for hours trying to get some of our existing SU models in to RC2 with the obj2obj coverter.

MW Studio crashes just after the converted file is selected to be imported if it's anything more complex then just a few simple primatives... any suggestions?

Thanks,
Turge

hrothgar, thanks for your reply.

i'm talking about simple models:

4139 edges
1625 faces
4 groups
1 layer
5 materials

(those are the numbers from the sketchup statistics panel)

this is what is says when i do the .obj export from SU:

SketchUp Entities processed:

Groups: 4
Faces: 1613
Materials: 5

OBJ Entities exported:

Faces: 6046
Materials: 5

i've tryed with your latest version (4.00) and it seems to be ok, but maxwell studioit crashes on import. on the other hand, i've managed a better with .3ds files. i understand there is no smoothing, but i can import and save scenes this way.

BTW - thanks for your work on the obj2obj exporter (which i'm sure is working well for others) and that .bat to change the complex .ior into semi comprehendable english!
