How do I export my SketchUp model to Maxwell? Under "Plugins>MaxwellExport I only find settingsparameters. Where/how do I start the render? Does anybody have a tutorial showing what to do?

The export & rendering is done from file/export/3D model… select MXS as file type. (You can not currently access options (beta05)).
There should be a short tutorial in the setup file you downloaded (comprehensive.htm).

Thank you Sheik, but there is no MXS option in the export list, -must be something wrong with installation..?

Check if you have MaxwellExport.rb in your SketchUp 5\Plugins folder, and you also need MaxwellExport.dll in your SketchUp 5\Exporters folder.
If you can not find them there run a search on the files to see if they are in the wrong place, like in a SU 4 folder. Then try if moving them to the right SU5 folders helps…

Got it working. My problem now is addig silver material to a metal tube. I selected all tubes and hit the O.K button but the box wont disappear,so i keep pushing the O.K button. Is there a way adding material to all the geometry(tubes) at once? My model is a tube chair.

Strange. I don’t have that problem. I can select multiple faces/objects and assign a Maxwell material to all of them at once. Are you using PC or Mac?
