I´ve noticed a difference in the material export with the new plugin
(v2.1), even if Shininess is set to 0, the material is exported with a
Roughness value of 95 and "Lambert" isn´t checked. So it is
not completely diffuse as it should be.

Thanks

Actually this is an optimization issue - roughness 95 means the material is almost completely diffuse (can you see any visible difference?) but the rendering is faster - thus this is the value which is used...

Ok, I understand, but the visible difference is my actual problem here.
The most materials looking washed out now, so it would be great if you
could add a checkbox for "Lambertian" in the Sketchup Maxwell Material
window, please. To get a completely diffuse material directly out of
Sketchup again, because currently I have to rework many of the materials
in the Studio.

I have to admit I would like to see the project where the difference between purely Lambertian and roughness 95 material makes such a big difference - if you can send me images/mxs file I would appreciate it. BTW Maxwell1.6 with 2.0 version of the SketchUp plugin use the same mechanism for materials so you should get the same results there...

Yes, you are right Pavol, with v2.0 it was the same, I haven´t exported
many scenes out of Sketchup lately, so I haven´t noticed the differences
up to now.
But please take a look at my renderings (link below), there are significant
differences.
With Roughness 95, the materials are washed out, the rendertime is higher
(about 30 percent) and there is slightly more noise visible at the same SL.
As you see, the new settings are not better in every case and it would
be very helpful to have the option.

I can see the difference - I will try to reproduce that on my machine as it certainly bigger than I've expected. Anyway I am considering putting the Lambertian materials back...
