Mate I'd just add a few things to your workflow generally!

1. you dont need to select a surface to paint it you can just paint direct to surfaces with the paint bucket tool, and

2. a neat trick if you open an mxm to view you can drag any map straight from the mxm to your sketchup model and make it a material just as you would dragging in an image. Not sure this was expected behaviour but it's darn cool!

Sheik,
Thank You for Your time and effort in making this great tutorial
Both tutorials actually.
I have been using Maxwell frequently for some time now but not
on a regular basis though. Up to now I have been doing all the
work directly in Studio itself . But with the new plugin and this
tutorial I am trying to change that and trying to do most of the
work in SU itself. Still having some problems in linking Materials.
I sometimes get a message on the console :
Error. File ....jpeg has not been found, render cannot continue.
Ok I place the materials in mxm materials folder together with
the jpegs , maps etc...
I dont know if this is supposed to be a normal workflow but
sometimes the names of the filenames mxm , jpegs are different
than they are supposed to be, sometimes even in different languages.
Like for example You have stone wall and the console says that
the jpeg missing is muro..something ( italian for wall ).

Cheers,

The error you are geeting simply means that one of the textures used in the MXM liked to the SU model via direct link or autoMXM is not correctly linked within the MXM.

You will find this most likely in materials you have downloaded as the mxm is counting on the link originally created by the author of the material. I would suggest it good practice to relink the materials in any downloaded MXM to suit the file directory you are using on your own system / file hiracy!

Hope this helps mate!
