I have just started using maxwell and I have a few questions. Sorry if they seem a bit lame but I am just an architect without enough time to understand this strange language renderers speak.
The main issue is lighting interiors. I have tryed assigning materials with emitters etc. but with little or no effect. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here are first images straight out of sketch up.

Keep a couple of things in mind:
- Scale is important. A 60 watt emitter won't do much good in, say, a 200 m x 400 m room.
- Emitters with the same material are exported as one emitter. (Or they used to, anyway. I just bluntly assume that's still the case.)
- Turn on Multilight prior to rendering. That'll allow you to crank up (or lower) the lighting levels during/after rendering.

What stinkie is suggesting is that if you have one emitter material the power will be proportioned over how ever many lights you have.
And yes enable multilight upon export. crank the lights up the slider will only go to 1,000% but you can type it up to 10,000 in the value box. If this still doesn't light it up then lower your environment light level and reduce shutter speed. You can do all this while the render is running!
Hey and don't worry mate this is the SU section of the forums - none of us really have the render lingo under wraps!
Hey by the way nice looking project. Could I encourage you to put it up on the PushPullBar arch and design forum? Would be nice to hear a bit about it and look closer at your design.
