[solved] Script error

I guess I'm the first to have this problem. If I try to use any of the plugin's tools, like set camera distance (a simple scene with only a single cube), I get the following error:

Internet Explorer Script Error
Line: 2115549
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: res://ieframe.dll/daserrordiagoff_webOC.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Y N

Whether I pick 'yes' or 'no' the script repeats 17 times, each with a different line number, before closing for good. Behind the dialog was an IE frame with the message 'This program cannot display the Web page'.

Something tells me this is not what the designer intended
Any ideas what could be going wrong?

This problem is most likely related to Maxwell folder missing in the installation which some of you have experienced. Please download and install the new version of the plugin - it will fix the problem.

Pavel,

This is the new version I had the missing path problem as well and the new version at least allowed me to finish the installation. I might be able to provide more information if I knew where the URL reference is coming from, i.e., why is the plugin trying to open the browser?

There are 2 items to check:
- version of the installed plugin in Plugins/MaxwellExport/About Maxwell Export - the version should be 2.0e for Windows (Su6) and 2.0d for OSX.
- presence and content of Maxwell folder in Plugins folder of SketchUp. You can find it in SketchUp/Plugins folder on Windows or in Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 6/SketchUp/Plugins folder on OSX. The folder has to contain a bunch of HTML and PNG files.

These files are used for Maxwell dialogs (for cameras, materials, environment,...) for Maxwell plugin SketchUp Ruby script. You can this error if the files are missing.

A new version of Windows installation was uploaded to MaxwellRender download site as the original 2.0 installation didn't install the files properly on Windows machine in some cases...

Please let me know the results.

Thanks, Pavol, 2.0e fixed the problem.

It woud have been easier to spot the problem if the install file and the link in the download area had the full version number. As it is it only says MaxwellExport_v2.0.exe not ...2.0d or ..2.0e. I had no way to know there was a newer version.

Anyway, thanks for the updated plugin. It has been long awaited. I can't wait to get into it and start rendering.

Point taken - I will keep that in mind for future releases...
