I'm trying to use an HDRI image as a background in Sketchup exports, but it isn't working. I presume from the HDRI panel, when I select "Enable Background" that when it renders in Maxwell, I should see the image behind my model. All I see is black. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug?

You can try to uncheck the "spherical" checkbox in HDRI panel.
If the checkbox is enabled that the image is mapped on a sphere around your scene - in that case it is possible that you see a black part of the image... If you disable the checkbox that the HDRI image is used as a background directly - you see the full image as a backdrop.

Also if you are on OSX there is a bug in Maxwell related to size/offset of HDRI images in all chanells - the image is shifted. The fix for this is not available yet.

Ok. I clicked off sperical, and it works. It doesn't work as I'd like, as I have to find the right UV tiling, but at least it works.

Thanks.
