PhotoMatch now works

One of the new features of the updated plugin is that it now supports mapping of PhotoMatched geometry. Here is one small sample of what you can do with it:

The actual PhotoMatching in SketchUp is really simple, as everything in SketchUp.
Select photo, define two lines along x & y axis, select origin and you are done. Then you can model from four image, and finally project the image onto the geometry. To Mexwell you just export like everything else. Actually there is nothing difficult about the whole process.
The most difficult thing about this image was that it has no lines that follow xyz.

Wow sweet! i had no idea this was possible with Sketchup, and great to see it works well with Maxwell now. :) so with that you can easily match in objects/buildings in photos you got. Hope you can get your models to cast shadows in the photomatched backgrounds, that'd be nice.

Thanks for showing this Sheik even tho i hardly ever used Sketchup.

The geomery with a projected texture will cast shadows, have reflections etc. I used a skydome here because the Photomatched images already have shadows and reflections. It looked strange with "double shadows". You can see the reflection of the photomatched geomery on the spheres. I think this "texture projected on geomery" will give much better results than just matching to a 2D background image.
