thnx for your help guys!
ok now i have found out a few things:

textures in SU must be applied to: faces, or INSIDE of components ( double clicking them ). It means applying a texture to a group, or to a component without editing it will not work in Maxwell. ( it does work in Sketchup)..

bummer because many components i'd like to texture with one paint bucket click ( objects with just one texture). Same with grouped objects..

Now there is still a question: how can i verify that automxm works!
problem is identifying if the texture rendered is the SU or the mxm! I'll try a few tests as well!

Update: it is not possible to remove applied mxm to faces within a group/component all at once: you need to remove it one by one!

To see if you have an mxm, or a default SU-exported material, you should open the exported mxs file in Studio. In the right top corner there you have the Material List window. The real mxm materials will have an icon showing the material, default SU-exports just have a grey icon. You can also open the materials in the editor by double-clicking to see if the settings are the same as in the mxm.
