Hello,

in our office we are already using Rhino mac 7 wip. We downloaded the newest version of the plugin 5.1.6.3. Is this supposed to work properly also with the wip version?

Hello Achim,

We won't officially support it until it comes out of beta state, however, it's not very complicated to make it work in Rhino 7. In the latest version of the plugin for Rhino 6 we even have included a fix that is specific for Rhino 7. So, we keep an eye on it and take it into account so it will not be hard to support it when it is finally released, but don't test the plugin in Rhino 7 as regularly as in Rhino 6. For example, I see it currently is not rendering the materials in the material panel (the preview is black), however, most of the things work fine.

If you want to test it, you only have to go to the Rhino Options windows > Plug-ins > and here click on the Install... button; then choose the maxwell_rhino.rhp file C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell for Rhino folder and the plugin will load and will be updated with every update of the plugin for Rhino 6, as they share most of the code.

Hi,

how can I make the Maxwell Tool Palette visible?

In Rhino 7.1.2 mac when I go to window>active tool paletts I cannot choose the Maxwell Tool Palette because it is not there.
You can use maxwell from the command line, fire is working as well - but no tool palette.
