Opacity map when not tiling should be opaque not transparent

If one wants to apply a hole pattern on an object in a single locations, meaning not tiling, the surrounding area is transparent. It would be more practical if it were opaque. Right now, one has to add a white area to the opacity map, so that the whole object is covered. Layer opacity 100% and opacity map not tiling:

Well, it depends a bit on what you are looking for.

If you'd want to place a sticker instead, it'd be better if the non-tiled part is transparent:

The program is following this logic: no information means 0 or black.

Another option would be extending the edge pixel color, but I think that'd be the less useful solution.
