For those creating their own renders in-house for archvis and wish to add 3D people into the scene to add scale and liven up the image, there's a growing number of websites that produce posed, rigged and animated people. We use Maxwell Studio and have tried a handful of the sample 3D people available on the following sites and have found no issues with the models or textures. It takes about a minute or so to import and assign the material to the model then they're ready to use. If each 3D person is saved to its own file then they can be imported using Maxwell 's Object/New MXS Reference to import the file into a master file and simply position as required. I've included a sample screen shot below and some of the websites.
