Does anybody create model and scene on Mac and render on PC?

A thought I have been having due to the flakey, inconsistent process and slow CPU render time on a Mac, is to buy a desktop gamer spec'd PC with quad GPU's to remotely render at home and continue modelling on the MacBook on the go as I currently do.

Does anybody else do this and are the results/speed up worth it?

Hi,

we have something similar in mind. Since the cinema 4d and / or archicad plugin is not released yet, we are still waiting and following the forum (GPU tests: bugs and limitations....).

Best Alex

Have you rendered with any of the new Macs? I purchased a loaded iMac Pro when they came out and it's a beast when it comes to CPU rendering. I would think the new Mac Pro would be even better.

Same here. I'm on iMac Pro - and it's pretty fine in terms of speed. Nothing beats render-farms though, but for a desktop rendering - it's pretty fine :)
