Hi Guys...

Am trying to figure out on how to apply different materials to a solid object. For example a glass plane where the edge of the glass is opaque and matte and the front and back of the glass plane is transparent. Any ideas on how to do that? Can't find a way via triangle groups like in Maxwell Studio.

Thanks and cheers from Bavaria

The problem is that there is no support for this (sub-object material assignment) in Rhino 5.

Damn....

Any ideas on how to kinda fake it? Object groups?

Cause I have a Bongo animation set up here where you can see those glas edges and they need to be matte. When I work on stills I always work with Studio, but since i need to render this animation I am runnig into this problem....-

It could be possible to accomplish it using UV-mapping (i.e. by mapping roughness).
