channels issue with scene exported from rhino OSX

Hello,

I've decided to check how far I can work with Rhino and maxwell on MAC, using the latest non-beta of both.
One big issue I can't solve is the channels renders.

If I want alpha or material channel, i could do whatever I want, they just not appear in the main window (in Render), but I can select them from view/channels, but they won't appear and they can't be saved as well.

Doing the same operations directly from studio works fine

Could you tell me what is wrong

Thanks

I have to add that I have the same problem with multilight.
When selected I have the windows but dead empty…

I am not able to observe what you describe, though I do notice that with multilight enabled, as well as the "Fast Multilight Preview" (in Maxwell Render Preferences), when the image is updated, the small "buttons" for selecting different channels in Maxwell Render may disappear. Switching the "Fast Multilight Preview" option on/off, those buttons reappear (I am on a macbook pro 11,1). So that looks like a bug, but not necessarily related.

Regardless, I don't see how this could differ in behavior based on launching from Studio vs. the plugin, so my next guess would be to try a test where you make sure the paths involved have only ASCII characters in them.

It may also be of interest to hear what happens when you export to Studio from the plugin, and then immediately click the Render button to start Maxwell Render. Maybe you have done this already, but I cannot be sure.

Lastly, I actually do not fully understand what you are describing (e.g. what exactly you mean by referring to the "same problem" with multilight, to windows being "dead empty", and to windows "not appearing in the main window"), so really I am just guessing above, and it would be good if you could please provide some screenshots, so I can be more sure that I actually understand the problem.

here is a link to the scene

Here are links for screenshots. From rhino wher I enabled the alpha channel and the multilight, then exported in Render and the with studio. Same results…
You can see the boxes ticked within maxwell apps.

When I create oa scene within studio, this problem does not appear. Nor when i'm rendering an old file

Thanks -- I believe you should find the problem comes from using the Draft engine. That doesn't support channels, multilight, etc.

Yes, indeed !!! :?
Everything is back to normal now ! Thanks !!!

But, that means that it comes by default within Rhino !?!

Would it be nice to have it with «production» to avoid this kind of issue…

Definitely, it is supposed to be defaulting to production, but there's some bug here. I'll check it out.
