little anistropy test.

each material was composed by two bsdf to have a slight variation in roughness and anistropy strength.

three series angle 0 - angle 90 - and mapped angle with the map provided by JDhill (thank's :D )

then i duplicated these 3 series and added the velvet.r2 (76 0) file by Tom (thank's again :D ) to see if it changes something

Oo.. they're so pretty looking especially the middle and those furthest away. Real nice results you achieved :)

That map you used, what does it look like ?

That's really interesting to see, thanks for posting it Olivier. :)

The map you can make by using the 'angular gradient' tool in Photoshop.

Very nice Olivier! Just the velvet-like fall-off won't be remarkable on this shape ;)

:D Thanks !

These tests should be in the manual. Big help.

I guess if we had such thorough documentation then this forum might not be so interesting?!?!

Max, you can find full description and usage of r2 files here. You can create your own in a few seconds easily.
