Referenced geometry

Using referenced geometry ( +100 of the same 80Mb mxs tree model)

I am having memory issues with this.....

Question is should I be cloning the original mxs reference or instancing the original mxs reference ?


Presently Im cloning , the voxelisation time is massive , the at around SL 5 I get an error message re memory limits

Never had this issue with standard geometry plus multiple hundreds of instances

If you clone the MXS reference I believe it's just like placing copies in your scene, so not good. You need to instance the MXS reference.

Because an MXS Ref is just a file that gets loaded into the scene only at render time, instead of always being present in the scene. It's not an instance.
