i create plane and add maxwell grass with density map
when i add second maxwell grass the settings of the first reseted

confirmed... same here - without any maps.
But only for type "Flat" - if the type is changed to "Curve" before pressing new it seems to be safe...

flat or curve the problem exist when the first grass is selected and we add new
if it is not selected we can add without lose settings
other bugs
if we create new object and add modifier from attributes panel : the text of modifier is grey ( locked ) and we can't add anything

yes, you're right. The problem is the preselection. Adding a new on will overwrite the settings of the selected modifier.

Btw. it's really annoying me that every time i deselect a modifier the layout is changing back to the object attributes panel and you have to scroll down again to see the settings of another grass modifier after reselecting it...
I think it would be better if the panel would stay in place.

yes for that i post wish to change the new attribute panel ; but they don't like the idea
