I've installed Maxwell 2 on a newer PC (more powerful compared to when I was last rendering in 2010) but rendering is extremely slow. For example, 1 minute to get to sampling level 3, with basic scene, standard materials and camera parameters. Any ideas why? Is there something that I should be ticking, unticking?

I'm using a Dell Precision T1700 E3-1270, 3.5GHz, 16GB RAM.
The part in the scene is a simple consumer product OBJ from Alias, not that high tessellation.

The computer doesn't have a great processor (quad core, 8 threads) but maybe you could check if you accidentally changed the number of threads from 0 to 1. 0 means it will use all the threads available, so it's the recommended value.
