Maxwell 4.2 rendering the file but not saving the pic

hi there, i ran into the above mentioned problem. i can render the files but maxwell render does not save the picture, even when i open the finished mxi in maxwell render i can not save it! any ideas?
Even saving in different file formats is NOT working. Local or Network, does not matter! And on WIN X it just crashes Maxwell render after pushing save altogether.
What da hell?

Hi Q,
Did those mxi files come from a failed network merge by any chance?
I just got a similar report from another user and that was the case.
Could you try a normal render straight out form Maxwell without involving the network?

nope, they did not come from a failed network merger, at least i did not get any error messages and all 100 files rendered just fine like before.
i can try to do a normal render tomorrow, keep you updated...

There's an error opening mxi to save image. We will release a patch on this asap.

We are on testing time for that patch. So I expect something like this week or next week for the release.

jumping in, if you fix an issue with saving files please try and fix the problem that you can't save a denoised image in 32 bit hdr (you get some black and white crap, as I've mentioned in another post here) ....

Can you try EXR as a workaround?

Hi Choo-chee,
I noticed that if the main image is saved as png, and you set the denoised as exr, the image comes out fine. It seems the problem is triggered when the main image is set to a 32 bits format.

hmmm gonna check it, however everytime I send a render the main image is 16 bit png anyway by default...and when i press
"stop", and try to save denoised as exr or hdr, image is corrupt.
